Dear Millionaires in Action....

In case you do not know much about blogs, let's have a little blog talk. By the way Kate, there are other comments attached to the post "Welcome Millionaires in Action..." in the right margin. Every new post appears on a new page and the previous one shows up with a link in the right navigation column.

As you may have heard before, a blog is like a journal. You can post or write in it every day, or several times a day. The only difference to your personal journal that you may be keeping in your desk is its public image. This blog is part of blogger.com and can be read by other bloggers and visitors to the blog server. This blog is configured to be accessible to others on blogger.com and visitors. Every time a post or comment is published on this blog it sends a message to the server software and announces that there is something new here to the whole blogger community.

The trick is to make this a very interesting blog that people want to bookmark. To that end, any exciting news from Eniva, or our team should get commented or posted. The louder we get, but with honest, real amazing news, the better the chance for more people reading the blog and getting attracted to one of our websites.

When the blog is published it creates two files, this one you are reading, and one with a different coding called XML that is suitable for rssreaders. When you want to be updated on this blog without first going to your bookmark, you enter the link to this file into your rssreader. Every day when you open your rssreader to check on the latest from real newspaper headlines to blogs, you can see what has happened with Millionaires in Action.

If you would like to get your own free rssreader go here. Download and install with a shortcut to your desktop. Look in the righthand navigation column for the RSS button. Rightclick on the button and choose "copy shortcut". Then paste it into your rss reader as per instructions on the rssreader download page.

There is another reason why rss is so very important. As our blog is spread over more and more rssreaders, chances are very good that the blog or our sites will be linked to from other bloggers or websites. This will raise awareness and ranking in the search engines. For example Google is concerned particularly with our sites being linked to on sites of "authority". Those are sites that already have a high ranking of at least 5 with Google, and have very few links to other sites. Few could mean 100. There are sites out there that are linked to by thousands.

So that is what we are striving for: good search engine ranking and to get lots of other sites to link to us, particularly scholarly sites or other high profile sites. Here is where I am placing my efforts at the moment.

Every one of you can do your part. If you find a health forum that allows signature links to your bottleinabox.com site, then post your comments there. The more professional the forum or the site where you can place your link the better for everyone. The more often you post and place your link in a good place the better.
